Eyes: Goldmine and Carbon

Hello my loves!
You can never go wrong with goldmine and carbon e/s by Mac. If I am feeling very indecisive I pair these two eyeshadows and end up with a great look for the night. Of course matching your e/s with your clothes takes the attention off your eyes and the focus is on your makeup, so colour coordinating can be quite annoying. We use makeup to enhance our eye's not to emphasize that our makeup is on our face! I found that these two eyeshadow were really a "look saver". A nice grey/black smokey eye can also be a "go to " look when you are out of options. Hope you ladies have enjoyed this look
and your feedback means so much so let me know what you think!

Eyes: Primed with Panterly Paintpot by Mac, Goldmine e/s all over the lid
and using a fluffy e/s brush I used carbon in my outer V. If you want to intensify the
eyes for a more dramatic look just keep adding carbon and blending the outer V. Line with a carbon/black eyeliner, curl those lashes to lift the eye, apply mascara and falsies. This is optional but will definitely bring out the eyes.

Cheeks: I used my favorite Lorac blush Duo in hot and Spicy. I love the highlight colour that comes with the duo and I also use the blush. I also contoured with a contour colour, use something that has no shimmer in it. This will bring out those cheek bones.

Lips: I used young thing lip gloss by Mac to keep it nude.

Hope you enjoyed this look :).

Versatile Products! Beauty Secrets Revealed.

Hello Ladies!

Hope everyone is feeling beautiful today. When I was reading through makeup blogs and beauty magazines I realized that the majority of artists stick to one product for one particular use. Why not make your cosmetics more versatile? This will save you from burning cash and also every girl wants a compact light weight makeup bag! I am going to share some secrets with you that will help to use one product for various other things.

Let's Start off with Pigments!
Who ever said that pigments were only for the eyes? When I use pigments that have a nude shimmer like naked pigment or even vanilla pigment I place this pigment as a highlight on the bridge of my nose, or on my upper cheekbone. This brightens the face and also helps the face appear more symmetrical!
Also, another tip for some sex appeal is dusting a bit right about your lip and on the centre of the lip for a nice pout!
How about eyeshadow?
As we all know eyeshadow is supposed to be applied on your eyes? Well, how about we use to set our lipstick with a similar colour eyeshadow that will allow that lipstick to stay on for a pro-long wear? Why go out and purchase lip products that have a 12 hr wear when you have eyeshadow to set your lipstick!
In most of my makeup looks where I am wearing a pink/peach lipstick the reason why it appears so vibrant is because I lightly apply eyeshadow on top of it. Shhhh!

And as for lipstick?
Yes, we all apply lipstick all over the lips and that's it. Who would assume there is another use for it. However, I applied some of my lightly ripe lipstick, sanitized of course, using my ring finger on my cheeks and it worked as perfectly as any creme blush? If there are any other lipsticks that you wished had come in a great blush colour instead why not sanitize and apply? Benefit also has a great lip/cheek stain that is a great versatile buy!

Hope these tricks help out each and everyone of you and watch out for other great tips.

NYC: Times Square

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return.

OPI: Heart Throb

Such a Beautiful Baby Pink Polish!
I had to share with you guys,
lately I have been attracted to subtle colours and heart throb
gives off such a pretty look.

Have a great one :) .

Eyes: BlueBrown Pigment

Hello Ladies, hope everyone is doing well! I received a sample of Mac's Blue Brown Pigment in a swap awhile ago and never got around to doing a look with it. So I decided to give it a try :).

So for the eyes I concentrated Mac BlueBrown Pigment more in the centre, I did not want to place
it all over the lid just to avoid looking like a disco ball. I added Go eyeshadow with a soft fluffy e/s brush to the outer corner and blended out the BlueBrown. This also softens the harshness of the pigment. Add a highlight close to your skin colour and voila ;) To complete, use your blackest eyeliner and mascara.

Lips: I used Semi-Annual which is a nude lipstick by Mac that has a slight pink undertone.

What do you guys think ?
Thank you so Much for stopping by.

University Cultural Formal Look

Hello Ladies, I really missed blogging and I am glad to be back. So, a little update on my life...
I was bombarded with exams and now that it is my reading week I want to do as many different looks as possible. I feel like I am so preoccupied with other things that I really need to get
that passion for makeup back in my system. So, after exams I celebrated with some friends by going
to a University Cultural Formal.

I am really in love with peacock colours, my Saree had a nice royal blue with some peacock
green designs along the halter piece of my blouse. I just love wearing Sarees since you hardly get
to wear them unless a random event or wedding takes place. Enjoy and let me now what
you guys think.

Eyes: I used Mac's Corn flower pigment, a peacock green from my 96 Palette and also rice paper by Mac for highlight.

Hope Everyone is Having a Wonderful Sunday!!
Thank you for stopping by.
xoxo

Line your lids with your favourite black eyeliner.

NOTD: Mac's Love and Friendship

Hellllooo loves, hope everyone is feeling wonderful! Life is seriously getting in the way of my blogging,
but my lovely readers and the positive comments always inspires to me to blog whether it is a simple post or
something more time consuming. Hats off to the bloggers that manage to post everyday, whether it is in between school/work or being a parent! :)

This Love and Friendship Nailpolish by Mac has been sitting in my drawer and was very unloved.
I decided to give it a shot as the colour from the outside never seemed appealing to me.
But...this dirty creamy lavender/lilac colour is the prettiest after about 2 coats! It is so elegant and
I have not seen another colour like this, and it is definitely a favorite in my collection now. It is truly a timeless nailpolish that goes with anything I am wearing, that is what I absolutely love about it.

Have any of you tried Mac's Love and Friendship? I would love to hear your thoughts about
this polish and please do share if there is a dupe out there!

Have a great one loves <3!

Eyes: Satin Taupe

Hello Beautifuls! It's been awhile since I have blogged, I hope everyone is doing great!

I wanted to start off by saying that Satin Taupe by Mac is my #1 Eyeshadow, I feel like it can be applied for a day time look, a night time look and it looks beautiful on all skin tones. I jusr love Satin Taupe, if I was stranded somewhere and was to pick one eyeshadow it would be satin taupe!!

Eyes: Satin Taupe e/s, on the outer corner I used Go by Mac for some depth.
Lineur Intense Eyeliner in Carbon Black
Mascara : Estee Lauder Voluminous in Black
I did not add falsies here, but if it is a night time look I would definitely add some
carbon to the outer corner and feather out the e/s along with some flirty falsies!

Face: Cover Fx in B15
Cheeks: Lorac Hot&Spicy Blush and Bronzer duo.
Love how this duo gives a fresh and healthy glow to the skin.
It is definitely a beautiful combo.

Lips: I used Gosh's Darling Lipstick which is a lovely nude
and topped it off with a clear lip gloss to add some shine.

Enjoy the look loves! Hope you all have a great day and
keep a look out for more looks.

PS. Let me know what you think of this FOTD!!

XOXO

Eyes: Pink and Bronze

Good Evening loves, Hope everyone is having an awesomee day ! I went out for my sister's surprise birthday yesterday and this is the look that I came up with using the Urban Decay Ammo Palette. I love urban decay eye shadows, they are so vibrant, the fallout can be annoying but that can easily be swept away by a fluffy brush.

Eyes: primed with perky paint pot
UD e/s in Chopper,Smog & Sin.

Face: Cover Fx Foundation in B15
Nuance Blush and Contoured with a dark brown eyeshadow ( this works best for me)

Lips: Mac 's Pink Nouveau, set with endless love eyeshadow on top.
(yes I did set my lips with eyeshadow, this is the trick to matte lips, that last all night, and it is also a plus b/c you can make your own colours!

I pulled my hair back and teased the crown a bit so it wasn't flat and added simple pearl earrings
for a sleek and classy look!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this look for a night out! Getting glammed up is always exciting! :) Have a great one!

NOTD: OPI - Flower to Flower

A simple NOTD - OPI`s Flower to Flower when there are
no flowers to be seen in Toronto except for the artificial ones.

Enjoy ;)

My Top 10 Pigments

Hello girls, hope everyone is doing well as the holiday madness is over and we are now back to reality with work or school! The break was refreshing as I really needed the time off to just not think about exams or assignments. I wanted to brighten up the mood a bit and show you guys my top 10 most favorite pigments, I believe some of these are L/E however I am sure you can do a swap or two on makeupalley to find any of these.

Call it OCD, call it whatever you like...I don't know why but I just love keeping my makeup in it's original packaging even though I do use it. I find I can store it better and it just looks more tidy. I tried several times to throw away the boxes but it just doesn't feel right, so bare with me.

Top Left: Gold stroke, Royal Flush, Tea Time, Melon, Rushmetal
Bottom Left: Dark Soul, Mutiny, Kitchmas,Teal, Golden Lemon

What are some of your favorite pigments , leave a comment below as I would
love to try out new pigments and add them to my collection.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a good one!

Bollywood Bridal Look: Let's Get Married!

Hello my loves, hope everyone is having a very happy holiday with their loved ones. I am  looking forward to the New Year and putting another year behind me. Aside from all of that, I had some spare time on my hands to do a completely different look from all the other FOTD's and Simple Looks! This look has made me really excited and I hope you all enjoy it too!! So here it goes...

Eyes: Mac's Heritage Rouge Pigment
Mac's Goldmine e/s
Mac's Flip
Highlight: Mac's RoseBlanc &Mac's Retrospeck e/s
Lined the eyes w/ Mac's Blacktrack Fluidline
Mascara: Zoomlash + Quo Lashes in 809

Face: CoverFx Foundation in B15
Cheeks: Kept it simple and skipped the contour, I used a little bit of Nuance on the
apples of my cheek

Lips: This was the trickiest part because I wanted a deep purple lip so
I decided to make my own colour by first applying Kirsch Slimshine by Mac
and topped it off my Mac's Pink Nouveau

For the Accessories I bought some bindhis and just got creative with the application.

This look is quite dramatic but for Hindu/Bollywood weddings the brides are adorned with
jewels from the top of their heads to the tip of their feet and it is quite gorgeous.
Their look is usually accompanied with mehndhi on their hands and feet along with floral garlands.
Well..I hope you enjoy this look and thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a great one !!

FOTN: Look using all greens

So, since there is absolutely no green left in the city of Toronto due to the cold, and snow, I brought the greens out myself! Another face of the day, I thought I would change it up a bit and use some brighter colours on the eyes and keep a nude lip. I hope you guys enjoys this look.

Eyes: Mac's Bitter and Mac's Lime e/s (inner corner)
Bitter is my all time favorite green e/s, I love the way it comes on and is so easy to work with.
I blended that out with Mac's Talent Pool e/s and the outer V consists of Mac's Teal pigment, this pigment is beautiful aswell.
Mac's Zoomllash for the lashes, you can certainly add falsies, but I kept it simple and lined the eyes with Mac's Fluidline.

For the face : Mac's NC42 Mineralize Skin Finish
Cheeks: I contoured with Mac's Deep Dark and Finished off with Mac's Nuance on the cheeks.

For the Lips: I used a new lipstick I bought at the sale called Colour Crafted, and I topped it off
with a nude lipglass called C-Thru.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this FOTN!
Have a great one!

Do you remove your makeup before going to bed?

After speaking with some friends about their makeup regimen I realized that
most girls don't remove their makeup before hitting the sac.
They told me that they are either too tired and lazy because it is been a long day
of work or just a very busy day overall.
Even after a party or any event you just want to go home
and rip those heels off your feet and jump into bed.
It may seem like nothing at first but there is a price to pay for not removing your makeup.

Did you know?...
  • That the chemicals in your foundation and other cosmetics will sink into your pores overnight preventing your skin from breathing?
  • That your skin is more prone to breakouts if makeup is left overnight?

  • That your skin may not only be clogged with makeup but also pollution, cigarette smoke, and other toxins throughout the day?

  • That bacteria can build up on your mascara and cause eye infections such as Bacterial Conjunctivitis (an infection caused by bacteria that has made it's way into the eye area). You may have seen people with a bump in their eye or on the outside. This bump is caused by our eyelash follicles or glands in the eye being clogged by debris of dirt, bacteria, and makeup. This bump is otherwised called a Stye and believe me it is NOT attractive.

  • That a long term affect of makeup left on the skin overnight  is early aging?
Our faces leave lasting impressions and it is the first thing that other people look at when meeting you,
it is important to be sanitary when it comes to cosmetics and make sure to throw away cosmetics that are expired, have an odd consistency over a long period of time, or even has a changed smell which is unpleasant.

Let's be Safe than Sorry!

I hope this post will take 2 minutes out of your busy lifestyle to realize the important of  makeup removal & promote a heallthy and hygienic addition to your skin care routine!!

Eyes: Simple FOTD

In this FOTD I used my HD MUFE foundation in #173.

Eyes: Quad from Artistry in Medium
Mac's Black Track Fluidline
Mac's Zoomlash in Black

Cheeks: Mac's Refined Golden

Lips: Body Shop's Lipstick in # 42
I really like this colour because it is matte yet
does not dry out the lips.

I wanted to add that I have a new found love for animal print scarves, I just got this
cheetah print scarf and I just love how it is so bold and how it brought out my outfit.
I got this scarf at H&M for about 14$, if I find any more animal prints
at better prices I am definitely going to make a collection out of it.

Thanks for stopping by Beautifuls!
